Reset an Extreme Networks switch to factory defaults

Resetting an Extreme Networks switch to factory defaults is done by issuing the command "unconfigure switch all":  

* Slot-1 sw700.10 # unconfigure switch all
Restore all factory defaults and reboot? (y/N) Yes
Clearing SSH private key in NVRAM/EEPROM (could take a minute).....

   

All stacking configuration parameters have been reset to default values.
Removal of the alternate-ip-address will take effect immediately.
Automatic priority will take effect at the node role election time.
All other stacking parameter defaults will take effect at the next reboot of the specified node(s).
Sending SIGKILL to all processes

   

Requesting system reboot

  If you intend to sell the switch or give it to an other person issue the following commands:  

rm *
clear log messages nvram
clear log static
unconfigure switch all
